Love Letter, September 2024: Success and Hope

Hello Beautiful,

How are you today? How is your body feeling?

I  can sense that my body, mind, and soul are just starting to come into energetic alignment. After struggling with jet lag for three days, I'm finally finding my unique harmonious rhythm and flow. Feeling deeply connected to my intuitive wisdom, thankfully!

I found that shaking and stretching were two practices that actually helped me overcome the sadness I felt from leaving Greece. Did you know that shaking not only helps to promote circulation, but also helps to release endorphins, enhancing mood? It’s a great practice for combating fatigue and a wonderful morning routine that I love to spend 5 to 10 minutes on to boost my mood whenever I need a lift.

On my way home from Athens, I had a wonderfully deep conversation with one of the flight attendants, who opened up about how Hope is what keeps her going.

While getting through jet lag I’ve been reflecting on our chat, and how the power of Hope serves as a vital lifeline that sustains us through life’s challenges and uncertainties. It inspires resilience, and fuels our determination, transforming obstacles into opportunities for growth and learning.

With Hope, we find the strength to navigate hardships and it can act as a guiding star, illuminating our path towards healing, achievement and fulfillment.

So what do you Hope for?

For me, Hope is intimately tied up to my personal view of what success looks and feels like. I’m reminded here that “success” is nothing without time to create, to meander through nature, swim in the ocean, and to connect to land and spirit. Success for me is a life that is slow, intentional, peaceful, and filled with beauty and magic.

How does “Success” feel for you?

Embarrassingly I have to admit, that in my rush to settle back into the time zone, chased by the desire to “succeed” I’ve misplaced my personal values like a set of keys. And in my fear of being seen, I’m sabotaging my “success” by instigating tension with my husband, nurturing a dysregulated nervous system instead. And, in this state of disharmony it’s hard to put into action the dreams I hope for! A truth I find hard to swallow, but crucial to face right now.

Bring on the energy of BRAVERY I say! Bravery to find the courage to change my ways and not be fearful of my hopes and desires. This month’s Nourish Playbook is a perfect ally to help me in my quest to find strength in this time of weakness. With a focus on the Root Chakra and connecting to the power of the Bear Spirit Animal I intentionally invite a loving and protecting presence to guide me.

If you would like to explore the energy of bravery for yourself, download the nourish playbook here.

Big love, Jo xx
